ABOUT US

AFFILIATION

Abiding Love International Fellowship is chartered under the American Evangelical Christian Churches (AECC). AECC is a denomination of Evangelical Christian ministers. It was originally organized in 1944 in Chicago, Illinois. AECC's member ministers come from varied denominational backgrounds, but endorse the AECC Articles of Faith and have been recommended to the organization by local churches, ministers, and/or other Christian ministers and laymen who are familiar with their ministry calling and gifts.

 

OUR BELIEFS

We accept the Bible, wholly and undivided as the revealed will of God, and the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. For the purpose of maintaining general unity among our members, we adopt the following Articles of Faith:

1. The Bible as the written and infallible word  of God.
2. The Virgin Birth.
3. The Deity of Jesus the Christ.
4. Salvation through the Atoning Blood of Jesus the Christ.
5. The guidance of the Holy Spirit in the life of Christians.
6. The return of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
7. The Eternal Reign of Christ.

MINISTRY LEADERS:

 Board of Elders

Reverend Akin Bankole

He is the Pastor of Abiding Love. He heads the church's Board of Elders and provides spiritual and administrative oversight and leadership for the body. He also leads the preaching and teaching ministries of Abiding Love.

Reverend Robbie K. Henry

He is the Associate Pastor of Abiding Love. He assists pastor in providng spiritual leadership for the body. As a member of the  Board of Elders, he also participates in the management of the church and is actively involved in its preaching and teaching ministries.

Reverend Kemi Bankole

She is the Youth and Children Pastor at Abiding Love. She directs  young people's progams. As a member of the  Board of  Elders, she is also involved in the management of the church and contributes actively to its preaching and teaching ministries.

Board of Deacons/Deaconesses

Deaconess Peggy Henry

She is a Deaconess at Abiding Love. She is the officer in charge of membership as well as programs relating to the unchurched. She co-ordinates programs and activities aimed at promoting the welfare of the members and leads the church's efforts to make Abiding Love a welcoming place for visitors, whether or not they are already a member of the body of Christ.

Sister Marjorie Samuels

Sister Marjorie is an Associate of Abiding Love. Although she has a home church, she offers her time and gifts to help with the youth and children ministries at Abiding Love. She also leads  worship Wednesday evenings before the Bible study.

 

Usher 

Sister Aletha M. Jackson

She is an Usher at Abiding Love. She coordinates the  ushering ministry at Abiding Love. She works to ensures that both members and visitors are properly welcomed and seated at every service and activity of the church and are offerred necessary information.

 

Treasurer

Sister Lorraine Kennedy

She is Abiding Love's Treasurer and the church's chief financial officer.
